Leading The Way
By: Jim West
came across an interesting survey, a joint interactive poll by Zogby International and WeMedia, asking: Who will lead us to a better future? Here are the results:
63% - Small Business and Entrepreneurs
52% - Science and Technology Leaders
38% - Family and Friends
36% - Ourselves
32% - Non Profit Groups
31% - The Government
21% - Big Business
Notice that large corporations received among the lowest percentage of "faith", if you will, with just one in five Americans believing they will lead our country to better times. Yet, they have recieved most of the attention in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act passed by the federal government (31%). Just last week did they finally announce some actions to help the SBA and address issues important to smaller companies that provide up to 80 percent of new American jobs. The survey also shows Americans have greater faith in themselves and their family to make the future better than they do in any one else.
And so it rests, as it has since the founding of our country on the American people to roll up their sleeves and work our problems day by day building the future. Our premise here at Clark-West is company owners and entrepreneurs can build a stronger future by harnessing the financial power of their lease payments, to create ownership and equity in their business property. Use the strategy Hi School Pharmacy, McDonalds, Les Schwab and First Independent Bank among many other companies have successfully employed; own your business property and grow with your community.
2009 will be the best year in a decade to take action. New projects are coming on line for companies as small as 5 or upwards of 100 employees to own high quality office, retail or flex space, using even just a 1,000 square feet. Padden Parkway, slated for groundbreaking late this year is an example of a large business park, Rosewood a smaller professional space, or a very affordable industrial project in the Orchards area
